JUAN MANUEL GUERRERO

DEMOCRAT

Untitled design (2).png

Juan Manuel Guerrero’s life is a testament to sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering service to others. As the eldest of seven children, he learned responsibility early. At just 13 years old, when his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Juan left school to help support his family and care for his younger siblings. Those difficult years shaped his lifelong commitment to hard work, family, and perseverance.

Determined to build a better future, Juan returned to his education and earned his GED at 17. He went on to graduate from Arizona Western College and the University of Arizona, proving that dedication and grit can overcome even the toughest beginnings.

Driven by a deep sense of duty, Juan answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy as a combat corpsman. In one of the military’s most demanding roles, he provided lifesaving medical care to Marines on the battlefield—an experience that strengthened his dedication to protecting others.

"After completing his military service, Juan continued serving the public through work in law enforcement and the court system, gaining firsthand insight into public safety, justice, and the challenges facing local communities. He helped create the South County Anti-Drug Coalition and has been a strong advocate against domestic violence, working to protect vulnerable families and strengthen community support systems.

Juan's commitment to service extends far beyond his professional roles. He has coached youth soccer, helping young people develop discipline, teamwork, and confidence. As an active Rotarian and a member of the Board of Directors for the Regional Center for Border Health, he works to expand healthcare access and improve quality of life in border communities.

Raised in an immigrant family and shaped by years of hard work-including time spent laboring in the fields-Juan understands the struggles, hopes, and determination of working families.

Today, as a grandfather, veteran, and community leader, he is running to represent the people of Arizona Legislative District 23. Juan Manuel Guerrero is committed to fighting for opportunity, public safety, and a stronger future for all Arizona families.

MY MISION

I am committed to building stronger communities by investing in education, public safety, and family support. I believe our schools must have the resources they need to succeed, which is why I will work to support teachers, school staff, and ensure that every child—especially those in special education—receives the care and attention they deserve.

Public safety is a top priority. I will advocate for increased training, resources, and support for our police officers and firefighters so they are fully prepared to protect our communities.

I am also committed to supporting families, especially single mothers, by expanding access to information and government programs that provide real opportunities, stability, and a better future for their children.
